After each weekend, we ask you to complete a short survey about your experience. This really helps us understand what’s working well, and what we can improve for next time, so please fill it in!
Back to basics
Many people wanted to see more workshops giving a broad overview of improv fundamentals. Our programme this time is slanted accordingly, with several ‘Intro to…’ workshops in the mix.
More workshops? Longer workshops? Free time?
Over many events, we’ve gotten three strong messages about the timetable:
- 90 minute workshops are too short
- We could fit another workshop slot in the Saturday free time
- The schedule is awfully fast-paced and I struggle to keep up
We’ve drawn up some alternative timetables for your consideration, and we’ll be sharing them for discussion at this event.
If you’ve got strong feelings about timings (including if you think the current timetable is perfect and don’t want it to change), please come and chat. We’ll ask about these in the feedback form after the event as well, but the discussion session is the best place to shape the future of the event.
Workshop capacity
At the last event, some workshops had more attendees than were manageable. We’ve reduced the maximum number of signups for this event to mitigate this.
We don’t want to introduce a pre-registration system for workshops, so please be conscientious when deciding where to go. Remember, most workshops are repeated!
Jams
We programme a jam option in most workshop slots. Most jams get good attendance and positive feedback, but sometimes different styles and expectations have left people confused or underwhelmed by some jams.
This time around, we’ve cut some less popular jam options and given jam leaders more structured guidance to ensure everyone feels supported.
